MARION, Ohio — Memorial Day weekend around Marion County brings patio music, karaoke, sing-along brunch, nightclub-style energy, live music, pottery, and a Memorial Day observance in Caledonia.


Here’s what’s happening around Greater Marion from Friday, May 22, through Sunday, May 24.



Friday, May 22


3:00 PM – Date Night: Nail and String Art Class – Mimi’s Art Hollow – 287 W. Center St., Marion – A nail and string art class at Mimi’s Art Hollow. Cost starts at $10.


6:00 PM – Friday “Wine Down” featuring Live Music with PJ Titus – OK Café – 734 E. Center St., Marion – Unwind after the week with live acoustic music, great food, wine specials, and patio time at OK Café.


7:00 PM – Live Music with Dan Harriott – Shovel City Drinkery – 181 N. Main St., Marion – Dan Harriott brings classic country sounds, resonator guitars, metal slides, and one-man-show energy to Shovel City, with Bussin Dogs serving out front starting at 5 p.m.


7:00 PM – Karaoke Night and Sing-Along with DJ KOV – Kin & Kilt – 130 S. Prospect St., Marion – A karaoke night built for solo singers and group sing-alongs, giving the crowd a chance to jump in together instead of leaving one brave soul alone with the mic.


Saturday, May 23


10:00 AM – Brunch, Please! A Mimosa-Fueled Throwback Sing-Along – Bucci’s Italian Scratch Kitchen – 320 W. Center St., Marion – The throwback sing-along brunch returns with mimosas, food, inflatable microphones, sunglasses, and a room full of people belting the songs that defined entire generations.


6:00 PM – Live Music with Analog Youth – OK Café – 734 E. Center St., Marion – Analog Youth hits the OK Café patio for a free Saturday night show with cold drinks, good food, and a rock ’n’ roll patio crowd.


6:00 PM – Bear, Please! Sing-A-Long Night Club – The Brickyard on Main – 135 S. Main St., Marion – Bear, Please! turns The Brickyard into a sing-along dance party with a DJ, host, pizza from Bucci’s, a photo booth, party favors, and enough scream-singing to make brunch look quiet.


7:00 PM – Live Music with Talan – Fable Bar & Co. – 119 W. Huber St., Marion – Talan brings a solo set of classic covers rooted in ’70s and ’80s rock, with piano, guitar, and a local musician’s touch.


7:30 PM – Queen of Hearts – Kin & Kilt – 130 S. Prospect St., Marion – Kin & Kilt’s weekly Queen of Hearts drawing continues Saturday night. Grab your tickets, try your luck, and see if the crown is hiding on your card.


8:00 PM – Potty Mouth Pottery Class – Mimi’s Art Hollow – 287 W. Center St., Marion – A 21-and-older pottery class at Mimi’s Art Hollow. Cost is $5.


Sunday, May 24


12:00 PM – Memorial Day Celebration in Caledonia – Caledonia Public Square – 110 E. Marion St., Caledonia – Caledonia marks Memorial Day weekend with wreath placement at noon and a 2 p.m. observance at Caledonia Cemetery.
