Spring is settling in across Marion County, and this weekend brings a full mix of ways to get out—live music, theatre, karaoke, brunch events, and even a symphony performance.
Whether you’re looking for a night out, something different, or a reason to stay out a little later than planned, there’s a solid lineup across Marion and the surrounding communities.
Here’s everything happening from Friday through Sunday.

Friday, March 27
Friday night offers a split between classic stage performance and a more relaxed, interactive night out.
7:00 PM – Karaoke Night with DJ KOV at Kin & Kilt
Kin & Kilt kicks off the weekend with karaoke hosted by DJ KOV. Whether you’re stepping up to the mic or just enjoying the crowd, it’s an easy, social way to start the night.
7:30 PM – Sinatra & Streisand at the Marion Palace TheatreIf you’re looking for something more polished, the Marion Palace Theatre hosts a tribute performance celebrating the music of Frank Sinatra and Barbra Streisand. Expect a full-stage production with familiar songs and a classic concert atmosphere.
Saturday, March 28
Saturday is the busiest day of the weekend, with options ranging from brunch and classical music to nightlife and local events.
11:00 AM – Mardi Gras Ladies Sing-Along Brunch at Oscar’s (Waldo)
Just outside Marion in Waldo, Oscar’s brings a themed brunch experience with a Mardi Gras twist. Running from 11 AM to 2 PM, it blends food, music, and a high-energy, social atmosphere.
3:00 PM – Five Nights on Campus Extra! presents The Central Ohio Symphony
Held at The Ohio State University at Marion, this free performance offers a more intimate symphony experience. Featuring a smaller ensemble and a relaxed setting, it’s a different way to enjoy classical music without the formality of a traditional concert hall.
6:00 PM – 20th Annual A Night at Heritage Hall
For something completely different, the Marion Area Historical Society hosts its annual evening event inside Heritage Hall. This after-hours experience invites visitors to explore exhibits, history, and storytelling in a unique setting.
7:00 PM – Karaoke at 191 Social at The Coop
Another karaoke option for the night, 191 Social offers a casual, high-energy environment where anyone can jump in and take a turn on stage.
7:30 PM – Queen of Hearts at Kin & Kilt
Back at Kin & Kilt, the weekly Queen of Hearts event combines a social crowd with a chance-based drawing, making it part game night, part night out.
8:00 PM – DJ Jon Paul at the OK Café
If you’re looking to keep the night going later, the OK Café hosts DJ Jon Paul with music running through midnight. A laid-back option for drinks, music, and a steady crowd.
Sunday, March 29
Sunday wraps the weekend with one of the more talked-about experiences in town.
10:00 AM – Brunch, Please! A Mimosa Fueled Throwback Sing-along at Bucci’s Italian Scratch Kitchen
Brunch turns into an event here. Running from 10 AM to 2 PM, this sing-along experience mixes food, drinks, and a full room of people singing along to throwback hits. It’s part brunch, part entertainment, and something a little different from the usual Sunday routine.
